1/1/2010 7 July Bombings: What Happened Overview
Four suicide bombers struck in central London on Thursday 7 July, killing 52 people and injuring more than 770. The co-ordinated attacks hit the transport system as the morning rush hour drew to a close. Three bombs went off at or around 0850 BST on underground trains just outside Liverpool Street and Edgware Road stations, and on another travelling between King's Cross and Russell Square. The final explosion was around an hour later on a double-decker bus in Tavistock Square, not far from King's Cross.

Netanyahu receives prior warning - An AP article from July 7th asserting that Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel received a warning about the bombing before it happened.
7/7/2005 July 7th 2005 London Bombings: Netanyahu Changed Plans Due to Warning
British police told the Israeli Embassy in London minutes before Thursday's explosions that they had received warnings of possible terror attacks in the city, a senior Israeli official said. Israeli Finance Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had planned to attend an economic conference in a hotel over the subway stop where one of the blasts occurred, and the warning prompted him to stay in his hotel room instead, government officials said. Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom said he wasn't aware of any Israeli casualties.

7/8/2005 Netanyahu: Advance warning reports 'absolutely false': AP story said Israeli embassy tipped off before yesterday's attack
Reports that he received prior warning about yesterday's deadly London terror attacks "have no basis in reality," former Prime Minister Benjamin Netantyahu told WorldNetDaily this morning. "Absolutely not. The reports are entirely false," said Netanyahu, still in London on a trip to address a corporate investment conference yesterday at the Great Eastern hotel near the site of one of the blasts.

I was in tube carriage -- and survived - Cambridge dancer Bruce Lait says the bomb was underneath the train and there was no suicide bomber.
7/11/2005 "I was in tube bomb carriage -- and survived"
CAMBRIDGE dancer Bruce Lait has spoken of his miraculous escape when a bomb exploded just yards away from him in a Tube train carriage. The 32-year-old was knocked out by the blast and awoke to a terrible scene of devastation in the underground tunnel near London's Aldgate East station. Mr Lait, who teaches dance in Cambridge, believes he and his dance partner Crystal Main were the only passengers in the carriage who survived the blast without serious injury

even though they were sitting nearest to where the bomb detonated. When he came to, there was a body lying on top of him and he was surrounded by the dead and injured. But incredibly, the only wounds the dance coach sustained were facial lacerations and a perforated eardrum. "I feel extremely, extremely lucky," he said.

Explosive used in bombs was of military origin - An antiterrorist coordinator reveals that the bombs were of military origin, not a homemade concoction.
7/12/2005 Explosive used in bombs 'was of military origin'
The bombs used in Thursday's terrorist attacks were of "military origin", according to a senior French policeman sent to London to help in what has become the biggest criminal investigation in British history. Christophe Chaboud, head of the French Anti-Terrorism Co-ordination Unit, told Le Monde newspaper that the explosives used in the bombings were of "military origin", which he described as "very worrying". " We're more used to cells making home-made explosives with chemicals," he said. "How did they get them? Either by trafficking, for example, in the Balkans, or they had someone on the inside who enabled them to get out of the military establishment."

CCTV seizures will identify suspects - An early, optimistic report in which a hopeful reporter believed the government would be forthcoming with CCTV evidence of the attacks.
7/12/2005 CCTV seizures raise hopes of quick identification of suspects
Police may be able to pinpoint the London bombers on CCTV in as little as two weeks, a terrorism expert predicted last night. As officers began the task of collating and analysing thousands of hours of CCTV, mobile phone and video footage, Andrew Silke, of the University of East London, pointed to the case of David Copeland, the London nail bomber. Copeland was identified by his boss and a cab driver after police released CCTV pictures of him outside Brixton station in April 1999, the day he planted the first of three bombs. Dr Silke said: "It took just over three weeks to find David Copeland and there was less footage available. I think police will identify these bombers in a similar time because the systems involved are much better.

London Stagecoach employee says bus bombing suspicious - An employee of the company responsible for London buses says the drivers believe the bombers had inside help.
7/15/2005 London Stagecoach Employee Says Bus Bombing Suspicious
We received an e mail from an employee of Stagecoach, the company responsible for the majority of London buses. Our contact works a route roughly one mile from the site of the bus bombing last Thursday. The bus driver pointed out that the number 30 bus was the only one to be re-routed after the initial bombs went off in the London Underground, every other bus carried on its normal journey, but for some reason this bus was diverted. The driver notes the following about CCTV maintainence. "CCTV gets maintained at least 2 or 3 times a week and can digitally store upto 2 whole weeks worth of footage. this is done by a private contractor....So when I heard that the CCTV wasn't working on a vehicle that's no more than 2 years old since last June.....I'm sorry that's rubbish, I work for the company I know different."

MI5 bugged London bomber in advance - A BBC report detailing the fact that MI5 were surveilling one of the London bombers well before the attack. A bizarre conversation quoted in the article suggests the terrorists are working for the authorities.
4/30/2007 Fertiliser bomb trial: Bugged talk
The trial of seven men accused of planning to build a homemade fertiliser bomb to use against targets in the UK relied partly on hours of surveillance evidence and recordings of bugged conversations. Omar Khyam, the ringleader, was followed by MI5 and counter-terrorism officers who had been on the trail of al-Qaeda sympathisers in the UK. In February 2004, counter-terrorism officers began round-the-clock surveillance of the key suspects, including recording bugged conversations. The complete operation included: * 24,000 hours of video * 3,000 hours of audio * 33,000 man hours of surveillance * 80 computers examined after arrest Two of the accused, Nabeel Hussain and Shujah Mahmood, were found not guilty.

According to police, investigators are looking for individuals who helped with the logistics of the attack – those who built the bombs, recruited the attackers, provided the funding – under the assumption that the bombers themselves were low-level operators with little organisational ability.

Former FBI Director calls for new OKC Bombing investigation - MacVeigh's Svengali was an FBI agent.
3/2/2007 Former FBI Director Calls For New OKC Bombing Investigation: Coulson names Strassmeir as "agent" in upcoming documentary
Former FBI Terrorist Task Force director Danny Coulson has called for a new grand jury investigation into the Oklahoma City bombing and for the first time names Andreas Strassmeir as an "agent," in a documentary set to air Sunday, according to lawyer Jesse Trentadue. Trentadue, attorney for bombing conspirator Terry Nichols, last week obtained an astounding declaration from Nichols in which he fingered FBI agent Larry Potts as having directed McVeigh in carrying out the attack. In addition, Nichols' description of the bomb he helped McVeigh build does not match with official accounts of the device used in the attack, lending further credence to evidence that strongly suggests only bombs planted within the Alfred P. Murrah building, which were initially reported by TV news stations, could have caused the damage inflicted. Trentadue was interviewed for a BBC documentary on the Oklahoma City bombing which will air this Sunday in the UK. The program has a different producer to the 9/11 hit piece show which was part of the same series and is expected to present hard hitting evidence of a cover-up.

FBI agent cooked the bombs in the 93 WTC bombing - Reprint of a New York Times article from 1993. An ex-Egyptian Army officer who was being used by the FBI to 'sting' a terrorist bombing group had the wherewithal to tape the conversations where his handlers told him to go ahead with the bombing.
10/28/1993 Tapes Depict Proposal to Thwart Bomb Used in Trade Center Blast
Law-enforcement officials were told that terrorists were building a bomb that was eventually used to blow up the World Trade Center, and they planned to thwart the plotters by secretly substituting harmless powder for the explosives, an informer said after the blast. "Do you deny," Mr. Salem says he told the other agent, "your supervisor is the main reason of bombing the World Trade Center?" Mr. Salem said Mr. Anticev did not deny it. "We was handling the case perfectly well until the supervisor came and messed it up, upside down." The informer was to have helped the plotters build the bomb and supply the fake powder, but the plan was called off by an F.B.I. supervisor who had other ideas about how the informer, Emad A. Salem, should be used, the informer said. The account, which is given in the transcript of hundreds of hours of tape recordings Mr. Salem secretly made of his talks with law-enforcement agents, portrays the authorities as in a far better position than previously known to foil the Feb. 26 bombing of New York City's tallest towers. The explosion left six people dead, more than 1,000 injured and damages in excess of half a billion dollars. Four men are now on trial in Manhattan Federal Court in that attack.

Corbett Report: #7. Investigate 7/7 time reference: 00:23:21
Air India was a CSIS job. - The Corbett Report outlines the case for CSIS involvement in the Air India bombing.
6/16/2007 Air India Was a CSIS job: Canadian Intelligence Service implicated in Air India bombing
On June 23, 1985, a bomb planted aboard Air India Flight 182 exploded as it made its way from Toronto to London Heathrow, killing all 329 aboard. The bombing still stands as Canada’s deadliest instance of mass murder, and was the deadliest act of terrorism involving airplanes before the events of September 11, 2001. In 2005, some two decades after the original disaster, the only two suspects to be put on trial for the bombing were acquitted due to a lack of evidence. The verdict created an uproar in Canada, and the government duly set up an inquiry, headed by John Major, which is currently looking into the disaster and its investigation. But witnesses testifying before the commission over the last weeks out of the Canadian inquiry into the Air India Flight 182 disaster have started painting a picture of government foreknowledge which is confirming suspicions that the Canadian CIA -- the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) -- were complicit in the bombing and its coverup. On May 17, two former government lawyers, Graham Pinos and Michael Anne MacDonald, testified to the inquiry that they were attending international hearings on terrorism in Los Angeles during the week preceding the bombing. Each of them claims to have had separate conversations with a Mr. Mel Deschesnes of CSIS in which he stated there was a problem with Sikh extremists in Vancouver who were seeking to bring down an airplane. He left the conference unexpectedly on June 20, telling Ms. MacDonald that there was an urgent problem with the extremists in Vancouver. The bombing took place three days later. Mr. Pinos testified that when the bombing took place, his reaction was to say to himself “Holy expletive, they knew, they knew.” Streaming video of their testimony can be watched here.

Inquiry into blasts a ludicrous diversion: Blair - Tony Blair says that finding out what happened on 7/7 would undermine British security.
7/11/2005 Inquiry into blasts a ludicrous diversion: Blair
British Prime Minister Tony Blair has rejected demands for a government inquiry into Thursday's multiple bomb attacks on London, even as police and security services pinned their hopes on a quick breakthrough in the search for the culprits while an anguished city defiantly returned to work against all odds. On Monday, police said they believed almost all the fatalities had been identified by name, perpetrators, thereby ruling out raging speculation one or more suicide bombers was among the dead. With London remaining on its very highest state of alert, Downing Street officials said on Monday that Blair had dismissed demands for an inquiry from the main opposition Conservative Party. Blair believed an inquiry into the attacks would be a "ludicrous diversion", they said.

1/1/2006 Ludicrous Diversion
7/7 London Bombings Documentary: On the 7th of July 2005 London was hit by a series of explosions. You probably think you know what happened that day. But you don’t. The police have, from the onset of their investigation, chosen to withold from the public almost every bit of evidence they claim to have and have provably lied about several aspects of the London Bombings. The mainstream news has wilfully spread false, unsubstantiated and unverifiable information, while choosing to completely ignore the numerous inconsistencies and discrepancies in the official story. The government has finally, after a year, presented us with their official ‘narrative’ concerning the event. Within hours it was shown to contain numerous errors, a fact since admitted by the Home Secretary John Reid. They have continuously rejected calls for a full, independent public inquiry. Tony Blair himself described such an inquiry as a ‘ludicrous diversion’. What don’t they want us to find out? Contact ludicrousdiversion@hotmail.com

Pressure grows for a 7/7 inquiry - BBC reports that pressure is mounting on the British government to set up an inquiry into 7/7.
5/1/2007 Pressure grows for a 7/7 inquiry: Survivors and relatives of victims of the 7 July attacks are stepping up the pressure for a public inquiry into MI5's handling of intelligence.
On Monday it emerged at the end of a year-long terror trial that MI5 had two of the 7 July bombers under surveillance a year before the attacks. Ministers are opposed to an inquiry but a parliamentary committee will consider why the bombers were not picked up. Those affected by the 2005 attacks have delivered a letter to the Home Office. The document, requesting an "impartial public inquiry", was handed to an official from the department.

Blair rejects 7/7 inquiry calls - Blair remains steadfast in his notion that finding out what happened on 7/7 must be avoided.
5/2/2007 Blair rejects 7/7 inquiry calls: Tony Blair has again rejected calls for a fresh inquiry into the 7/7 attacks, saying it would undermine the security services.
The prime minister repeatedly dismissed Tory leader David Cameron's demands for a "proper independent inquiry". He also told MPs at Commons question time that it would divert resources from the fight against terrorism. Survivors of the 2005 attack renewed their calls for an inquiry on Monday after the fertiliser bomb plot trial. It emerged at the end of the year-long court case that MI5 had watched and followed two of the 7 July bombers, Mohammad Sidique Khan and Shehzad Tanweer, a year before the attacks as part of their surveillance of the fertiliser bomb plotters. Calls for a fresh inquiry into the 7/7 attacks grew after it emerged that MPs and peers on the Intelligence and Security Committee (ISC) were not shown photographs linking Khan to known militants. Security sources say MI5 said it did not reveal the images to the parliamentary committee because they were taken by police officers not MI5 operatives.
